How far can books take you?  Very far!!  Reading can take you to any place you want, you just have to find one that will take you where you want to go!  

 

Our challenge this year is to travel as many miles as we can.  Do you like to read?  Would you like to receive cool prizes for reading?  If you answered yes, then the let's get to traveling!!

 

Tell me more, you say?  Why sure!!  It's very simple.  Log how many minutes you read by filling out this Google Form.  For every 240 minutes you read, you get 5 miles!  Each mile will be represented by a "foot" and displayed outside of the media center with your name on it.  So, if you read 20 minutes a day for 12 days (240 minutes), you get 5 miles!  5 miles = 5 "feet" on the wall!  Make sense?

5 miles (240 minutes ): Bookmark

10 miles (480 minutes): Pencil

15 miles (720 minutes): Grab a prize from the Prize Box

20 miles (960 minutes): Candy bar

30 miles (1,440 minutes): Doughnuts Party (to be held at the end of January)

40 miles (1,920 minutes): Poster

50 miles (2,400 minutes): Art Set

60 miles (2,880 minutes): Cupcake Party (to be held at the end of March)

70 miles (3,360 minutes): Book voucher to the next Book Fair

80 miles (3,840 minutes): Chick-fil-A Breakfast
